Does it ever end? Now we worry about our neighbor club to the South, Timber Ridge Pony Club as the water moves south and Cedar Rapids is taken over by Mother Nature. Although all our Pony Club families at Silver Bits are safe and sound after this second round of weather, we have already heard of three area barns that were 4ft+ under flood water. Thanks to the support and donations from around the country, we have already been in contact with 2 barns, and have halters and lead ropes on their way today!
Kudos to the people of Cedar Falls; the new story that many haven't heard was how it was the volunteers and their sandbagging who created a second levee that the water did not go over.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are fighting this current round of 'the impossible'.
